Alexandria & Cody. On September 12, 2017 I received a very distraught phone call from Alexandria. She explained that she and her fiance were supposed to get married on a cruise in Florida. Hurricane Irma had different plans. Because of the hurricane, they found themselves displaced. Even though it was the height of our Colorado wedding season, I knew we had to do something to help. I gathered together some of our favorite wedding vendors and everyone pulled together to do a last minute wedding. Huxley Rose Hair Shop for hair and makeup, Sapphire Point for their ceremony, Phil Gallagher for their officiant and IN Photography for photography. These vendors basically stopped what they were doing to help this couple. I absolutely love our small mountain community! Alexandria wrote me a note after her wedding. Literally brought me to tears. This...THIS is why I do this :)
"Thank you so much for all your help I am just so overwhelmed with how much you've helped us and rescued our day. We had this vacation planned for over 6 months and then it all came crashing down it didn't help that they did not cancel our cruise just kept postponing and changing ports. It was a very last minute thing to come out here and try to work something out. I think this day may very well turn out better than our original plan! I've know this man since 2nd grade and we've been inseparable since 8t grade who would've thought 10 years later we would still be together and so deeply in love. So again thank you for helping me marry the man of my dreams! "
