Lauren and Chris. Every couple has something from their wedding that when I'm blogging about it 6 months later, I remember. With Lauren and Chris it had to be the fact that Lauren reimagined her grandmother's dress to wear on her wedding day. I am really sentimental so I think that is just so cool. And I'm all about reusing things in a cool way and why not do that on your wedding day?!
Lauren and Chris' summer wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, CO was a stunning celebration of love and the great outdoors. It was a rainy August day but the rain stopped just in time for the ceremony. The couple exchanged vows with the majestic Rocky Mountains as their backdrop.
The day began with the bridal party getting ready with Divine Beauty Artists while Chris and his groomsmen suited up at a separate location. Once everyone was dressed and ready, the couple made their way to Ten Mile Station. They decided to forgo the first look so they could see each other for the first time walking down the aisle. Not doing a first look isn't something I recommend but when you have something special like a Grandmother's wedding dress, we like to give the green light :)
The ceremony took place on the outdoor patio of Ten Mile Station, which offered panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Lauren walked down the aisle in that gorgeous lace gown, accompanied by her father. Chris looked sharp in a navy suit and tie. To bring some personal touches, the bride's maid of honor played the keyboard for the ceremony.
The couple exchanged heartfelt vows and rings, with their loved ones looking on. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend, which added a personal touch to the proceedings. Once the couple was pronounced husband and wife, they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked down the aisle as newlyweds.
The reception took place inside the rustic and charming Ten Mile Station. During the winter it is a ski lodge where skiers take a break from the slopes. In the summer it turns into a gorgeous mountain wedding venue. The venue was decorated with elegant floral arrangements and greenery provided by TeeLee Events, which added a natural touch to the space. The couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal and danced the night away to a live band, Homeslice.
As the sun began to set, the couple snuck away for a few sunset photos on the mountainside. The resulting images were breathtaking, with the couple looking happy and in love against the backdrop of the majestic peaks.
The day was a perfect celebration of love, friendship, and the natural beauty of Colorado. Lauren and Chris' wedding at Ten Mile Station was a day they will always treasure and remember forever! Thank you to Caroline Colvin Photography for capturing and sharing these wedding photos!
"Our wedding was fantastic! Thank you so much for all of your help - it was truly better than we imagined and we so appreciate all the work you did ahead of time and the work Natalie did the day of. Thank you!" ~Lauren & Chris (Bride and Groom)
