Breckenridge Wedding Planner | The Lodge at Breckenridge Wedding | Kate & Jake

Kate & Jake. We always ask the question during our end of planning interview what kind of ceremony set up you have. We don't want you to get down the aisle and reach for the sand for the sand ceremony and it isn't there. So we take care of that and get that set up so it's seamless for start to finish. And we have seen it all. Of course the normal sand ceremonies, knot ceremonies, foot washing ceremonies etc. We have even seen things like a tree being planted and ingredients being put together for cookies. What we have not seen is making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to ceremonially eat together. I'm not kidding. I didn't even know this was an option!! These are my people. Ha!! Maybe it's the Midwest connect (they were from Missouri and I went to school in Missouri), maybe it's the love of the mountains. No, it's the peanut butter and jelly ceremony. Love it!

Any-who, now on to the details!! Kate and Jake chose to say their I do's at the Lodge at Breckenridge in Breckenridge, Colorado. I love the guest experience of the Lodge at Breckenridge. Guests drive up Boreas Pass which is a windy road opposite the Breckenridge ski mountain. The views are stunning. Once you arrive at the Lodge, you pull into a parking lot and it seems very unassuming. Guests proceed through the lobby, down the stairs and out double doors. The view they are met with is breathtaking. It feels that you can see everything and you are just on top of everything. In fact when I first moved Breckenridge back in 2005, the restaurant there was named Top of the World. And the name fits! It's not hard to see why Kate and Jake chose the Lodge.

Kate and her ladies had the day together with Weemala for all things hair and makeup. Tommy at T5Photography arrived early to capture some getting ready photos. When both Kate and Jake were ready, they had an amazing first look. Just check out the look on Jake's face. That said it all. Adorable! After the first look and some wedding party photos, the group went back to the Lodge to be tucked away for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was perfect. Guests danced the night away to the tunes of Elite DJ. They day and evening was all about love and the great outdoors. It was everything a Breckenridge wedding should be! (with peanut butter and jelly on top ;)
