Ellie & Will. Once covid happened, we as wedding planners felt like we had seen it all. Cancellations, restrictions, masking, tables of only household members, etc, etc, etc. When 2022 came along we thought we were going to be back to smooth sailing wedding planning. For the most part that was true just not for 6 of our weddings. As it turned out, fate would deal us some more unseen event cards. But that's why we have jobs right? eek! Ellie and Will's unseen event card was to find a new wedding venue. Ski Tip Lodge just happens to be one of my favorite Keystone, Colorado wedding venues. It's not a venue that can hold tons and tons of people but that's why I love it! You get the best of both worlds. A tent to have your dinner and that you can dress up as much as you'd like. A blank canvas of sorts. And also a charming 1800's stage coach stop, turned family home of Keystone Resort's founder, to a quaint Bed and Breakfast we know it to be today. And the food. Don't get me started on the food. When a couple comes to us and their top priority is food, we direct them to the Ski Tip Lodge. Every. Time.

Ellie and Will's wedding at the Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone, Colorado, was a beautiful and intimate celebration of their love. The ceremony took place on the slopes of Keystone Resort, on School Marm run with the mountain range as their backdrop. It's a spot that makes you feel like you are literally on the top of the world. The bride and groom exchanged vows under a beautiful arch of flowers, with their closest family and friends looking on. The atmosphere was warm and joyful, with everyone sharing in the couple's excitement and happiness.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed back to the Ski Tip Lodge for a reception filled with delicious food, drinks, and dancing. We wanted a romantic, cozy feel in the tent so we enlisted the help of Colorado Wedding Draping to adorn the tent with draping and lighting. Ladybird Poppy Floral Design added that touch of outside with her florals and greenery. Ellie and Will decided to take a detour for a small bite on their way back to Ski Tip. Literally could not love this more. We always recommend to the couple to take at least a ten minute breather to just enjoy the moment with each other. The day just goes by so quickly. After going through this film, I recommended stopping for a cookie sandwich on the way back to their wedding reception, just today to a couple. Why wouldn't every couple do this??

The menu at Ski Tip included a selection of seasonal Colorado cuisine. The wedding cake, a four-tiered masterpiece adorned with fresh flowers, made by the very talented Katy Pierson Cake was the perfect finishing touch to the meal. As the night went on, the dancing continued, with the happy couple leading the way on the dance floor and the DJ booth! Will and his boys played all the music provided at the wedding. Of course this went against every wedding plan bone in my body. The groom working on his wedding day?! But to our surprise, they really knocked it out of the park and kept everyone dancing all night long.

Ellie and Will's wedding was a beautiful and unforgettable celebration of love, family, and friendship. The Ski Tip Lodge provided the perfect setting for their intimate and romantic ceremony, while the reception was a true reflection of the couple's warm and welcoming personalities. It was a day that they, and their guests, will always cherish and remember for years to come.
